  The Government announced changes to the Working Holiday Maker (WHM) visa program to assist communities to recover from recent bushfires.  Under these changes, backpackers are be able to count paid work on bushfire recovery efforts in a declared disaster area as “specified work” towards eligibility for a second or third working holiday visa.  This will include recovery work currently being undertaken by WHMs in these areas. We are hiring backpackers for relief and recovery efforts in the areas outside Narooma, New South Wales.   Vineyard Workers are wanted in a winery outside Melbourne in the Yarra Valley Region.  This is 2nd Year Visa Eligible work at a winery in the beautiful vineyard which is located only 90 minutes from Melbourne by car.  Paid at award rates which comes to $24.90 per hour + superannuation.  There is limited accommodation in the area however you could even commute from Melbourne if you have your own car, or catch a ride with other workers who do it as well.  Work details include wire lifting, crown thinning, weeding, and eventually picking early in 2021.  Working equipment and clothing is provided (Boots, gloves, hats, etc.).  88 days or more is available for those who need their 2nd visas signed off on.   An Alpaca Farm 1 hour north of Brisbane is now hiring new farm hands. Suitable for 2 backpackers who are looking for their 2nd year visa extension farm work.  Your job is paid hourly ($27/hr) and will range from animal care, feeding, and cleaning, to fencing, gardening, and maintenance.  You must be open to learning new tasks and getting your hands dirty.  You can stay on the farm if you want as there are spare rooms available. Small weekly rent fee.  You must provide your own food or chip in for groceries.  Minimum stay of 2 months.
